Stronger Writers. Clearer Communicators. Brighter Futures.
Your child has ideas worth sharing.
I help students in grades 4–12 learn how to organize those ideas, communicate them clearly, and build the writing and speaking skills they'll use in school and far beyond it.
Writing & Communications Coach | Jahci Joy
Your child doesn't need to become someone else to become a strong communicator.
✅ Some students have great ideas but struggle to get them onto the page.
✅ Some know exactly what they want to say but have trouble organizing it.
✅ Some are comfortable talking to anyone but haven't learned how to communicate their ideas with structure and purpose.
✅ Others are already strong writers and speakers—and they're ready to become even better.
The goal isn't to change who your child is. It's to give them the skills to communicate who they are clearly, confidently, and effectively. That's what I teach.
TWO SKILLS. ONE BIGGER GOAL.
WRITING
Strong writing starts long before a student puts words on the page.
Students learn how to organize ideas, develop reasoning, explain themselves clearly, and revise their work with purpose.
Speaking & Communication
Being comfortable talking isn't the same as knowing how to communicate effectively.
Students learn how to organize what they want to say, speak with purpose, strengthen their delivery, manage nerves, and communicate in a way others can understand.
Not sure what your child's writing actually needs?
Before you spend more time practicing the wrong thing—or money on a curriculum, program, or resource that addresses the wrong issue—let's figure it out.
Writing Assessment & Parent Strategy Session
Send me a recent sample of your child's writing. I'll review it before we meet and identify the areas that need the most attention.
Then we'll meet for a personalized session to discuss what I'm seeing, what it means, and where you should focus next.
MEET MS. JOY
Hi, I'm Jahci Joy.
Writing & Communications Coach | Curriculum Designer | Educator
For years, I've helped students become stronger, more independent communicators by teaching something that is easy to overlook:
How to think before they write or speak.
Because communication isn't simply putting words on paper or being willing to talk in front of people.
It's understanding what you want to say, organizing your thinking, and expressing it in a way someone else can understand.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's degree in Public Health, and my work brings together education, writing, curriculum design, and communication.
My goal isn't simply to help students complete the next assignment or presentation.
It's to help them develop communication skills they can carry into high school, college, scholarships, interviews, careers, leadership, and whatever comes next.
